Company
AMCI was founded in
1978 as Allied Mobile Communications, Inc., to offer two-way radio
and other mobile communications services to the public. During the
following 14 years, as personal computers and networks arrived in
the marketplace, the company evolved into a computer system and software
value added reseller – doing business as AMCI Computers. In 1992,
the business was purchased by Doug and Nancy Drake and reorganized
as Amery Management Consultants, Inc., while continuing to do business
as AMCI Computers. We have continued to evolve in the constantly-changing
computer marketplace, so that our staff can always provide tomorrow’s
answers to today’s business management and networking questions. We’re
located on the main street of downtown Amery, Wisconsin, in a building
that once housed the Union State Bank and was the site of a robbery
famous in the lore of our small town. Our primary market area includes
Northwestern Wisconsin and the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area
of Minnesota, but our projects take us throughout both states and
beyond.
